All four Terriers teams are currently working out at The Baseball Zone in preparation for the program's annual trip south to sunny Tampa Bay Florida. While in Florida, the teams (15u,16u,17u,18u) will spend their days practicing and playing games against US college, high school and travel teams. The 18u Terriers competition will include the University of Tampa Varsity squad, Macomb College (MI), Alice-Llyoyd College (KY), Rochester College (NY) and Schenectady College (NY). The 17u Terriers will play in some college games, high school games and also have a tilt scheduled with the Impact Players Academy from Venezuela. Several prep schools from the north are on their own spring break trips and they will lock up with the 16u and 15u Terriers. They include: St Marks (MA), Proctor Academy (NH), Brewster Academy (NH) and St James (MD). Games and practices will be held at the Walter Fuller Baseball Complex. The complex is the original home of the Tampa Bay Rays. Some games will also be played at historic Al Lang Stadium in downtown St. Petersburg. The fabulous Tradewinds Island Grand Resort, located in St. Pete Beach on the Gulf of Mexico, will be home to all four Terriers teams during their time in Florida. The Tradewinds features several restaurants, a water park, four swimming pools, fitness center and numerous special events daily. 2011 TERRIERS BASEBALL AWARD PRESENTATIONSDecember 28,2011 The sixth annual Terriers Baseball Awards were presented on Wednesday. The event was very well attended by this years winners and their parents. The awards were voted on and presented by current Terrier coaches. Every winner also had the opportunity to meet several alumni that were in attendance, all of which have gone on to play professional or college baseball. We thank them for taking the time to join us. We also thank retired alumni coaches and SR advisors Ed Heather, Walt Jeffries, Tom McKenzie, Leon Linseman and Mike Tough for attending.
